The Highlights

MAKE A MOVE

MAKE A MOVE bounce from the streets of Berlin to the big stages!
There are horns in tutus, bass and guitar pump the groove, and it’s all driven by a rapping drummer. Sounds over the top?
It is!

Ramatou Orchestra

The Ramatou Orchestra is an eight-piece jazz ensemble from Frankfurt am Main.
From African influences to neo-soul, fusion and funk, they combine a variety of contemporary styles.
Danceable grooves from a driving rhythm section, catchy melodies with varied instrumentation, unusual arrangements, harmonious soundscapes and playful improvisation from all the musicians!

DEVADO

DEVADO, the German-American, produces her catchy R&B/pop songs herself, using ONLY her voice and body percussion.
She demonstrates what this sounds like live!

Hengstmanns

Today, the two sons – Sebastian and Tobias – have been performing on stage for decades.
They have developed their own style, which lies somewhere between classic cabaret and modern (stand-up) comedy.
With various alter egos, they seamlessly tie in with their family’s history of political satirical cabaret, analyzing the current political situation with razor sharpness and a keen eye, but with the impetus of comedy, stand-up and reading stages.

Panel discussion

on the topic of neighborhood design in Magdeburg:

  • What goals should neighborhood design pursue?
  • Which places in Magdeburg are suitable for participatory design?
  • How can it help to reduce social inequality?

We would like to discuss these topics with experts from politics, city administration and the youth and cultural scene.
And with you – because there will be a free chair for you!

Malabarista fire show

On Saturday you can expect the impressive fire show of the Malabarista from Magdeburg! For more than 18 years Malabarista has been enchanting people with fire, light and acro shows.

Jante

With their unmistakable, driving folk sound, banjo, mandolin, indie guitars and choruses, Jante bring summer to Magdeburg, but in a sometimes ironic, sometimes unadornedly direct indie pop style, they don’t shy away from critical topics such as package tourism, fake news or filter bubbles.

Görda

The two multi-instrumentalists from Leipzig interweave live vocals, electric bass, flute, synthesizer, cello and beats to create multi-layered soundscapes. Görda is a dazzling cross between alternative pop and experimental songwriter, through which the jazz background flashes again and again.

Swing dance workshop

We from Swing39 e.V. want to show you the first steps and figures from Lindy Hop, i.e. swing dancing!
No partner and no previous knowledge necessary.

Archery workshop

Bogensport Bördeland offer visitors the opportunity to get a taste of archery. In the process, from A to Z, they show how much fun archery can be.

Games for kids, face painting

… and much more!

There will be a family program: in addition to throwing cans and jumping games, children can be transformed into tigers, princes and princesses, butterflies or pirates with Lisa’s face painting.
